Keith Bakken, talks about current issues and trends in Wisconsin's physical education programs.  This is not your dad's gym class.  Today's physical educators are concentrating on skills and knowledge that can be used for a lifetime.  The new P.E. is as much about learning as it is about doing or playing.  While we have made great strides in recent years, we still have programs that need updating and teachers who need to sharpen their skills.  Attendees learn what to look for in a quality physical education program and will receive their own copy of Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards for Physical Education.
