Robert Bush MD

Dr. Robert Bush received his M.D. from West Virginia University. He completed his training in internal medicine and allergy and immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After spending a year in private practice, he joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1978 where he is currently Professor of Medicine and Chief of Allergy at the Wm. S. Middleton VA Hospital. He is Director of the Allergy/Immunology Training Program. He also holds an appointment as Professor in the Department of Food Microbiology and Toxicology, Food Research Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Director of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.


Dr. Bush has conducted research on fungal allergens, DNA-based vaccines, clinical use of anti-IgE, immunotherapy for ragweed-induced asthma, and food allergic reactions.
