Christian Schmieder

Christian Schmieder is a research consultant, focusing on qualitative methodology and the use and implementation of qualitative data analysis software. At present, he serves as a Qualitative Research Software Consultant for UW-Madison's School of Education at MERIT Library. Christian is a doctoral student in the Games + Learning + Society Center / Department of Curriculum & Instruction at UW-Madison, where he works under Prof. Constance Steinkuehler in the PopCosmo Research Lab.

His recent scholarly interests lie on digital games, learning and biography; classroom interaction around games; the impact of QDA software on the production of academic knowledge; metaphor theory & analysis; cross-language communication & analysis in qualitative research.
