Douglas Wiegmann PhD
Douglas Wiegmann, PhD, joined the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering as an associate professor. He earned his PhD in experimental psychology (cognition), from Texas Christian University in 1992. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute until 1993; Wiegmann recently concluded a second postdoctoral fellowship in biomedical science (clinical and translational research) at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. His research interests include cognitive systems engineering, system safety, accident investigation, human error analysis, aviation, and healthcare.
