Sally Lundeen is passionate about professional nursing and improving the health status of vulnerable urban populations. She has focused her entire professional career on the implementation and evaluation of community based nursing practice models in vulnerable urban communities.

She was appointed dean of the school in 2001.

Dr. Lundeen has been the recipient of numerous awards for her pioneering leadership of the nurse-managed health center movement. She was recently elected first board chair of the newly-established Wisconsin Center for Nursing.
