Stephen Waring DVM, PhD

Stephen Waring, DVM, PhD, received BS, MS, and DVM degrees from Texas A&M University and his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Texas-School of Public Health.

Waring is currently a Clinical Epidemiologist and Research Scientist with the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. He is a member of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and serves on the ICTR-Community Academic Partnership Steering Committee.

Waring is integrally involved in the oversight and facilitation of research projects that take advantage of ICTR partnerships, the Marshfield Epidemiologic Study Area (MESA), and the Personalized Medicine Research Project (PMRP). He is also a Co-Investigator in the HMO Research Network (HMORN) and serves on both the Surveillance Design Committee and the Comparative Effectiveness Subcommittee for the Cardiovascular Research Network Surveillance Study.

Waring’s research experience spans over 20 years of involvement in all phases of design, conduct, and analysis of large population-based longitudinal studies and multidisciplinary collaborative research from a broad range of disciplines including neurology, genetics, neuroimaging, molecular biology, and other clinical and basic sciences.
