Back in 1977, a National Academy of Sciences report stated that we possessed all the resources necessary to end global hunger in a generation, yet UNICEF just reported that the number of children dying daily of preventable causes is at its worst level since 1960. Each day, 27,000 children die of preventable causes.

Mr. Patterson will talk about the gap between what is, and what is possible related to global poverty. Learn about some of the known solutions, the global pledge to cut poverty in half by 2015, and how we can all be a part of the answer.
