The support of a woman in labor is a multifaceted endeavor, requiring those involved to be aware of and assist with physical, emotional and informational forms of support. Techniques and suggestions for meeting these needs are presented by several community doulas and a certified nurse midwife, all with years of experience in the field of normal, physiological childbirth.
