The built environment has a profound impact on children's overall physical, emotional and spiritual health. Brenda Baker, an artist and Director of Exhibits at the Madison Children's Museum will discuss MCM's pioneering work in the field of environmental design for children, and how materials, lighting, color, content, signage, and a sense of whimsy can all contribute to creating healthy, energized and creative young citizens. MCM, recently voted one of the top 5 children's museums in the country, is rooted in the community and is best known for putting children's health at the forefront of its agenda.
