A graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Khosla did his residency and Endocrine fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Khosla's research focuses on the pathogenesis of postmenopausal and age related bone loss, mechanisms of sex steroid action on bone and osteoprogenitor/stem cell biology.
At Mayo Clinic, Dr. Khosla acts as director of the NIH-funded Center for Clinical and Translational Science. He has served as Chair of the NIH Skeletal Biology Development and Disease Study Section, on the Council of the National Institute on Aging, and as President of the American Society for Bone Mineral Research (ASBMR). In addition to his long-standing involvement in ASBMR, he has also held leadership positions with The Endocrine Society and the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
