Brenda Baker

Brenda Baker is an artist and Director of Exhibits at Madison Children’s Museum, where she has worked as an educator, artist, and exhibit designer for the past 20 years. One of Brenda’s visions for the new museum, which opened this past fall, was to transform the museum into a hub and showcase of Madison’s amazing artistic talent, and to have the entire building and all of its exhibits be a showcase for healthy, sustainable design practices that support children’s holistic development.

Brenda has been a national leader in the museum field for the past 15 years creating sustainable exhibits with a decidedly local and artistic sensibility. The founder of greenexhibits.org, Brenda has received a Fulbright travel award and awards from the American Association of Museums, Association of Children’s Museums, UW Madison School of Education, and recently a Badger Bioneers award for her work.
