Amy Meinen MPH, RD

Amy Meinen, MPH, RD is the Nutrition Coordinator/State Fruit and Vegetable Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Prevention Program.

A registered dietitian, Amy also holds a master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in public health nutrition from the University of Minnesota-School of Public Health. In her current position with the CDC-funded Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Program, Amy’s responsibilities include coordinating statewide nutrition efforts to prevent overweight and obesity; providing technical assistance to local coalitions, organizations, and partners on obesity prevention planning; and coordinating and disseminating evidence-based nutrition/obesity prevention interventions, education, and resource materials statewide.

Prior to her position with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, she worked as a pediatric nutritionist for the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Department’s Youth Fitness Program, a pediatric weight management program for clinically overweight Native American children and their families.
