Who can have a presentation captured (recorded digitally) and placed in the IME Video Library?
Anyone giving a presentation in a lecture hall at the Health Sciences Learning Center (HSLC) is eligible to have their presentation captured. If you are part of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and you have presentations not occurring at the HSLC that you would like captured and placed in the Video Library, contact the IME Video Library team for possible ways to make this happen.
How do I request to have a presentation captured and placed in the IME Video Library site?
Once you have a confirmed room reservation for a HSLC lecture hall you will need to complete the 'Lecture/Event Capture' form on the HSLC website. If you are not the presenter you will want to have permission from the presenter prior to completing the 'Event/Lecture Capture' form.

What are the benefits to the presenter?
By having your presentation available in the IME Video Library your audience can be expanded to include students, faculty and health consumers around the country. Those interested in your topics can search for your presentations and receive notification when new presentations are made available via our subscription service (RSS). The Ebling Library staff will customize links and add related materials specific to you and your presentation so that viewers will have all the information they need in one place. A CD containing your presentation video and a photograph from your presentation can be provided for you at your request.
Who will have access to this site?
All presentations will be open to the public. If you have questions or concerns about this please contact the IME Video Library team.
What if I have several events that I would like to group together?
The IME Video Library has a section for Events/Series where all of your presentations can be grouped together. This can be helpful for Department Grand Rounds, student interest groups, seminar series, sponsored speakers, and symposiums.
What is the cost of this service?
There is no charge for videos placed in the IME Video Library.
How do I request a transcript?
Please contact the IME Video Library team or call Michelle Ostmoe at 608-263-6315. Transcripts will be emailed to you as a text file within one week of your request.
